The Cyber Law Department is an innovative academic department specializing in the study, research, and teaching of the legal aspects of cyberspace and advanced digital technologies. In a world where digital transformations are deepening, our department is becoming the main center for training future lawyers, decision-makers, and scholars capable of solving the complex legal problems of the digital age.
Our academic and research areas cover topical areas such as personal data privacy, cybersecurity law, digital investigation, artificial intelligence management, internet commerce, digital freedoms, and cybercrime regulation. By combining jurisprudence with technology and ethical research, we will form in students the essential skills and knowledge necessary for effectively addressing legal issues in today's rapidly changing digital environment.

Our achievements in research and academic excellence
The majority of our department's staff have studied at universities ranked in the TOP-100 of international rankings, successfully completed their education, and are currently continuing their scientific work. Furthermore, our department currently has several highly qualified professors and instructors with PhD and DSc degrees teaching courses.
Moreover, our department hosts more than 10 visiting professors from countries such as Poland, Turkey, the United States of America, India, Indonesia, and Italy who are teaching various courses.
Leading initiatives in cyber law education and research
The S. Gulyamov Scientific School of Cyber Law was established at the Tashkent State University of Law, which demonstrates a clearly expressed direction of active scientific research in the field of cyber law and information technologies.
The Scientific School of Cyber Law is being developed by a team of researchers of various age groups and scientific qualifications. Under the guidance of recognized scholars, they are researching topical scientific problems in the field of cyber law or issues at the intersection of sciences.
From April 1 to 5, 2025, the III International Conference "InnoCyberLawWeek - 2025" will be held at the Department of "Cyber Law" of Tashkent State University of Law under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This prestigious event brings together leading world experts, government representatives, academics, and practicing lawyers to address important legal issues in the field of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data protection, and the regulation of digital financial instruments.
