TASHKENT – On February 24, 2024, the Cyber Law Department of the Tashkent State University of Law initiated the “International Partnership in Legal Research and University Development: Towards the University 4.0 Model” conference.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent State University of Law, and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan. It brought together leading legal scholars, economists, IT specialists, and experts in innovative development from Uzbekistan and South Korea.
A high-level visiting delegation from Korea attended, including authoritative professors from Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University and other top higher education institutions.
The aim of the conference was to discuss pressing issues regarding the modernization of legal and economic higher education in light of the digital economy and rapid technological changes of the 4th industrial revolution. Particular focus was given to prospects for cooperation between universities in Uzbekistan and South Korea and opportunities to exchange best practices.
Following the conference, organizers plan to adopt a resolution and outline next steps to further strategic partnerships between universities in the two countries in the educational and scientific spheres.
